Via EdgeIR.comEquinix unveiled its Distributed AI infrastructure at its inaugural AI Summit, designed to support the next wave of AI innovation, including agentic AI.

The infrastructure includes an AI-ready backbone, global AI Solutions Lab and Fabric Intelligence for real-time awareness and automation of AI and multi-cloud workloads.

“This is the infrastructure AI has been waiting for,” says Jon Lin, Chief Business Officer at Equinix. “As AI becomes more distributed and dynamic, the real challenge is connecting it all securely, efficiently and at scale. That’s where Equinix comes in. Our global platform provides the boundless connectivity enterprises need to move data and inference closer to users, unlock new capabilities and accelerate innovation wherever opportunity exists.”

Launching in Q1 2026, Fabric Intelligence leverages automation, live telemetry, and dynamic routing to increase AI performance and reduce operational complexity on Equinix Fabric surfaces.

The AI Solutions Lab is now available and enables enterprises to co-innovate and rapidly test and deploy AI solutions with access to Equinix’s rich ecosystem of partners.

Equinix’s AI ecosystem includes over 2,000 partners, offering access to cutting-edge technologies like GroqCloud for scalable and secure AI services.

Use cases supported by the Distributed AI infrastructure include predictive maintenance, retail optimization and fraud detection that enable low-latency AI workloads anywhere in the world.
